Dr. Tatiana D. Nimpa Fozong is an Assistant
Lecturer at the University of Garoua, Cameroon, and a researcher specialising
in climate change, hydrological hazards, and flood risk management. She
obtained her PhD in Environmental Dynamics and Risks from the University of
Yaoundé I in 2025, where her doctoral research focused on the interactions
between climate variability, flooding, and urban vulnerability. Her research
has been strengthened through international training and collaboration. She was
awarded a six-month research internship at the University of Strasbourg,
France, where she gained expertise in climate simulation and future climate
projection scenarios. She also completed a three-month AUF-funded training
programme at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Romania, on flood hazard analysis
and hydrological modelling. Dr Nimpa Fozong’s research interests include
climate change assessment and monitoring, climate variability and its influence
on flood occurrence, flood modelling and forecasting, flood risk assessment,
evaluation of the socio-economic impacts of flooding, and the development of
evidence-based strategies for urban resilience and community adaptation. Within
the CALOR Research Group, her work contributes to advancing integrated approaches
for understanding climate-related risks and supporting sustainable adaptation
planning across vulnerable landscapes and urban environments.
