Dr. Ginette I. Kame Ngasse is a Senior Research
Officer at the Institute of Medical Research and Studies of Medicinal Plants
(IMPM), Cameroon. She earned her PhD in Parasitology and Ecology from the
University of Yaoundé I in 2021 and has since developed a multidisciplinary
research portfolio spanning parasitology, microbiology, medical entomology, and
global health. Her work is strongly aligned with the One Health approach, with
a particular focus on African trypanosomiasis and the surveillance and control
of tsetse fly vectors across all tsetse-infested regions of Cameroon. In 2023,
she was awarded a competitive ARES scholarship in Data Science for Global
Health at the School of Public Health, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium,
where she strengthened her expertise in data-driven approaches to infectious
disease research. Her research also addresses soil-transmitted helminthiasis,
vector ecology, disease epidemiology, and the application of innovative
analytical tools to support evidence-based public health interventions and
sustainable disease control strategies.
