Mr. Ngon A Dang is an emerging researcher in
Animal Biology and Applied Zoology at the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon,
where he obtained his Master’s degree with distinction. His research interests
focus on ecology, biodiversity conservation, urban ecology, and the effects of
human activities on tropical ecosystems. His Master’s research investigated the
diversity and distribution of Odonata along an urbanization gradient in Yaoundé, providing
insights into the responses of insect communities to environmental change in
tropical cities. He has contributed to several field-based research projects in
Cameroon, including studies on arthropod diversity, myriapod ecology around
Mpem and Djim National Park, and community-based socio-economic assessments.
These experiences have strengthened his expertise in ecological sampling,
species identification, data analysis, and the application of statistical and
spatial tools, including R, PAST, and QGIS. Beyond research, Marc Wilfried is
engaged in science communication and graphic design, using innovative
approaches to promote scientific outreach, environmental education, and
biodiversity conservation. He is committed to advancing ecological research and
supporting sustainable, community-based environmental management in Central
Africa.
