Jeanne C. Sondi Dissake is a PhD
candidate in Parasitology and Ecology at the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon.
Her research integrates molecular biology, field epidemiology, and public
health, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach to understanding and
controlling vector-borne diseases in sub-Saharan Africa. Her work focuses on
applying advanced genomic technologies, including next-generation sequencing,
to investigate the population genetics, evolution, and transmission dynamics of
disease vectors. By combining laboratory-based molecular analyses with
extensive field research, she seeks to generate evidence that informs more
effective and sustainable vector control strategies. Beyond her research
activities, Jeanne contributes across the entire scientific process, from
designing and implementing field studies to analysing data, preparing
scientific manuscripts, and disseminating research findings. She is committed
to translating complex scientific evidence into practical recommendations that
support public health interventions and strengthen disease control programmes.
Passionate about collaborative and impact-driven research, Jeanne works closely
with multidisciplinary teams, fostering partnerships that bridge science,
policy, and implementation. Her commitment to scientific excellence,
innovation, and community-centred research underpins her efforts to advance
knowledge on vector-borne diseases and contribute to improving health outcomes
in endemic regions across Africa.
