Dr. Domgnim Mokam is a Postdoctoral Research
Scientist at the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon, where she is affiliated
with the Gastroenterology Research Unit (GERU). She earned her PhD from the
University of Yaoundé I and has built a strong research portfolio at the
intersection of microbiology, pharmacology, and infectious diseases. Her early
work focused on investigating the antiulcer potential of natural products using
preclinical animal models and characterising antimicrobial susceptibility
patterns among Enterobacteriaceae. Her current research is dedicated to the
discovery and evaluation of novel antimicrobial agents to combat the growing
global threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Dr. Domgnim Mokam has authored
several peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognised scientific
journals, contributing to the understanding of infectious diseases and
antimicrobial stewardship. As a member of the Microbiology and Antimicrobial
Resistance (MARE) Research Group at the TREND Foundation, she is committed to
advancing translational research that bridges laboratory discoveries with
practical solutions for improving patient care and public health. Through
interdisciplinary collaborations, she aims to accelerate the development of
innovative strategies to tackle AMR and strengthen global health, particularly
in resource-limited settings.
